Starting from 30th July and ending on 9th August 2022, get ready to experience a heritage journey with the gardens. Several great activities have been planned to enrich your experience like guided tours, DIY trails, concerts, and virtual activities. You can become part of this fun-filled journey or even join us virtually if you are too busy to attend or have something else on your schedule.
30 July 2022, Saturday, 6pm – 7pm Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage
This is your chance to come and enjoy a beautiful evening of Singapore Botanic Garden Heritage filled with music. The most popular string ensemble in Singapore, T’ang Quartet will be there to make your evening even more memorable.
The concert is part of the ExxonMobil concert and Singapore gardens in a part of Culture Nodes Network and National Art Council.
7 Aug 06:00 pm Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage
This special night features an amazing performance by FIVERA, a quintet of classic musicians coming from Thailand who will excite their audience with renditions of popular hit songs from the west end show tunes and also with their repertoire of popular classic operatic arias.

For almost 200 years, Singapore Botanic Gardens has sustained South Asia’s orchid and rubber industries. Walking through these gardens will give you a glimpse of the old days when the ladies with long skirts and parasols strolled through the gardens. The tour also includes displaying sculptures, Heritage trees, a Bandstand, and the Saraca Stream Walk. Either you visit the Tanglin gate or become part of the virtual tour, this one is not to be missed!

Join us for a complete tour of the Botanical Art gallery. The 60 minutes long tour showcases Singapore’s first display of Permanent Botanical art. In this tour, you get to learn about the vital role of art in the scientific documentation of plants in the region and also get to appreciate the natural world around us. Again, you have an option to go for the virtual tour through tally if you cannot visit.

In this session, you get to learn about the research facilities of the Garden like the Orchid & Micropropagation laboratory, Library of Botany & Horticulture, and Herbarium. One of the cool things about this tour is the visit to the Herbarium where the physical records of plants are stored dating back to the 18th century. What's more? You can also learn about the hybridization program for orchids which was introduced by Director, R.E Holttum in 1930.
